In two weeks, the Greater Omaha Pachyderm Luncheon will have the Republican Omaha City Council candidates, Aimee Melton, Brinker Harding, and Don Rowe.
Aimee Melton, representing District 7 in northwest Omaha since 2013, is a Republican attorney and managing partner at Reagan, Melton & Delaney, with prior experience as a Douglas County prosecutor. Chairing the Law Committee, she prioritizes safe neighborhoods, city growth, and taxpayer protection, earning recognition like the AARP Nebraska Community Fraud Fighter Award in 2024. Melton secured reelection with 62.5% of the vote in the April 1, 2025, primary, with her term ending June 9, 2025.
Brinker Harding represents District 6 on the Omaha City Council, first elected in 2017. A Republican with deep ties to Omaha as a fourth-generation resident, he works as a Senior Vice President at Colliers International in commercial real estate and previously served as chief of staff to former Mayor Hal Daub. Known for his focus on public safety, economic development, and infrastructure, Harding won reelection unopposed in the April 1, 2025, primary, with his current term ending June 9, 2025.
Don Rowe has served District 5, covering southwest Omaha and the Millard area, since his election in 2021. A Republican and Vice President of Sales at Millard Lumber, he brings a business perspective to the council, emphasizing housing, fiscal responsibility, and community needs. Rowe, who has been married for over 45 years and is a grandfather of 13, also advanced unopposed in the April 1, 2025, primary, with his term extending to June 9, 2025.
