The Campaign and Candidate Workshop is a full-day, hands-on program designed to help you build and run a winning campaign. The morning kicks off with an introduction to the Leadership Institute and a session to help you decide if you’re ready to run for office. You’ll learn the key questions to ask before announcing and how to build a campaign strategy that sets you up for success. Then, you’ll dive into campaign planning and structure, where you’ll discover how to assemble a strong team, set vote goals, and organize your campaign for maximum impact.

After lunch, the focus turns to messaging and name recognition—how to connect with voters in the middle and make sure people know who you are before Election Day. You’ll learn how to use social media, branding, and clear messaging to stand out. The afternoon wraps up with an essential session on fundraising, because, as Morton Blackwell says, “You can’t save the world if you can’t pay the rent!” You’ll gain confidence in talking to donors and building a solid finance plan.
