Nebraska’s second district has once again become a “battleground district,” with a single electoral vote up for grabs, and potentially even a congressional seat. That’s what brought Turning Point Action’s “Four More Tour” to northwest Omaha on Monday evening, Sept. 28, 2020. The event was organized by Students for Trump, with Turning Point USA founder (and President of Students for Trump) playing emcee with his “friends” Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle (Fox News commentator and wife of Trump Jr.)

Trump Jr. has a flair for comedy, doing a standing impression of a feeble Joe Biden on the debate stage, and the hour-long event felt very more like an acerbic comedy show, with all the jokes at the expense of Joe and Hinter Biden. Trump Jr. particularly highlighted Hunter’s recently-exposed $3.5 million payment wired from Moscow and Biden’s putting a “lid” on interviews nearly every morning. They also spoke about child sex trafficking, the Netflix film Cuties, and a California law legalizing sex with minors all of which Trump Jr. attributed to normalizing pedophilia. This led the crowd to a spontaneous standing ovation.

Congressman Don Bacon with Charlie Kirk

Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle left toward the end as Congressman Don Bacon briefly took the stage with Kirk, making his case for another term in Congress in a highly contentious second district. After the event wrapped up, Kirk stayed to meet and greet guests, signing autographs and getting selfies toward the end of the night. It was an overall lively event, but it seems every campaign rally seems to have a tense overtone of “the stakes couldn’t be higher” and this being “the most important election of our generation.” With likely three new conservative Supreme Court nominations, however, one might say the last two elections may have been even more important. Only history will know for sure.
