A rally for a passing convoy of truckers, an offshoot of the national “people’s convoy” heading to Washington DC, gathered on the13th street bridge in Omaha on Friday evening. The convoy passed briefly around five o’clock, but around a hundred people stood on the bridge for an hour or more, waging signs and flags for passing vehicles both on 13th street and I-80 below. Numerous vehicles honked their horns in appreciation as they passed signs that read “Truck Joe Biden” and “Mandate Freedom.”
The event was promoted by Tim Davis and Allie French of Freedom Rally USA and Nebraskans Against Government Overreach, respectively. They both live-streamed coverage of the event on the bridge.
