DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our final BPPFL luncheon of 2023\, scheduled for Thursday\, November 30! BPPFL is very honored to have Senator Kathleen Kauth of Nebraska Legislative District 31 as our featured speaker. Senator Kauth has been quite visible recently for introducing and passing LB574\, which she called the “Let Them Grow Act.” This bill prohibits the performance of gender altering procedures for individuals under the age of 19. An amendment to the bill\, called the Preborn Child Protection Act\, largely bans abortion in Nebraska after 12 weeks of gestation. Kathleen’s speech will focus on her experience with this bill and the opposition’s attempts to stop it. \nKathleen is the founder of K.T. Beck Enterprises\, LLC\, a mediation and conflict coaching firm in Omaha. She and her family moved to Omaha in 2012. Gov. Pete Ricketts appointed Kathleen to the State Senate to replace Senator Rich Pals on June 7\, 2022. She won in a special general election to represent District 31 on November 8\, 2022.
