Born and raised in Lexington\, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Nebraska in 1978 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1981. Lieutenant Governor Kelly served as a criminal prosecutor in the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office from 1981 to 1985. \nFrom 1986 through 1990 he was an associate with Berniger\, Berg\, and Diver in Colorado Springs\, Colorado. He returned to his career as a prosecutor with the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office in 1990 and was subsequently elected County Attorney in 2010 and again in 2014. \nIn 2018\, President Trump appointed him as the United States Attorney for Nebraska where he served until February 2021. DESCRIPTION:Assure’s 2025 Imagine Banquet will be held on Thursday\, April 24th\, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the CHI Health Center Exhibit Hall C\, located at 455 N 10th St in downtown Omaha. \nIndividual seats to attend the event are $45 each with a variety of sponsorship packages available. There are also several tiers of sponsorship opportunities available. \nThe keynote speaker\, Allie Beth Stuckey\, is a wife and mother of three who hosts the “Relatable” podcast\, where she discusses news\, culture\, theology\, and politics from a Christian\, conservative viewpoint. She has authored two books\, “You’re Not Enough (& That’s Okay)” and “Toxic Empathy\,” and regularly speaks to organizations\, churches\, and students on topics including Christian political engagement\, defending the Biblical worldview\, supporting the pro-life cause\, and countering progressive ideologies. \nRich Bott\, president of Bott Radio Network\, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Chairing the Law Committee\, she prioritizes safe neighborhoods\, city growth\, and taxpayer protection\, earning recognition like the AARP Nebraska Community Fraud Fighter Award in 2024. Melton secured reelection with 62.5% of the vote in the April 1\, 2025\, primary\, with her term ending June 9\, 2025. \n\nBrinker Harding represents District 6 on the Omaha City Council\, first elected in 2017. A Republican with deep ties to Omaha as a fourth-generation resident\, he works as a Senior Vice President at Colliers International in commercial real estate and previously served as chief of staff to former Mayor Hal Daub.
