He is a fourth-generation resident of Omaha\, Nebraska. He is a Republican politician\, currently serving as an Omaha City Council member for District 6 (since 2017)\, where he has also served as Vice President. \nProfessionally\, he is a Senior Vice President at Colliers International\, specializing in commercial real estate brokerage and development services. Earlier in his career\, he served as Chief of Staff and Director of Economic Development for former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub from 1995 to 2000. \nHe is married to Rebecca (an architect and principal/owner of TACKarchitects)\, and they have two daughters\, Elizabeth and Grace.
