Pachyderm luncheon: panel of school board candidates moderated by Lou Ann Linehan

All of the panelists are candidates for area school boards: Justin Curtis for Millard, Brett Elliott for Elkhorn, Spencer Lombardo for Gretna, Edward Weniger for Papillion La Vista, and Tyler McGlade for Bennington.
There will be a time for Q & A.
- Justin Curtis has been a resident of Millard for over 40 years, was a former teacher, and has 5 children in the district. He is the Executive Pastor of Coram Deo Church and has a long history with PTO. He’s running to keep Millard great and ensure it remains a gold standard for education. He is endorsed by Governor Jim Pillen and others and he is the only candidate is endorsed by the Sarpy County Republican Party.
- Brett Elliott is a savvy entrepreneur and the CEO of a skilled trades company. He was motivated to start attending Elkhorn School Board meetings when discussions arose during COVID about potential mask mandates, and has stayed with it. He is endorsed by Congressman Don Bacon and others, and he is the only candidate endorsed by the Douglas County Republican Party.
- Spencer Lombardo is a real estate developer with workforce housing properties already built or being built across multiple Nebraska Counties. One of his main goals on the Gretna School Board will be to have the meetings recorded and published. He is endorsed by Commissioner Jim Warren and others and is the only candidate endorsed by both the Douglas and Sarpy County Republican Parties.
- Edward Weniger has a career in information technology and volunteers with organizations such as the Open Door Mission, InCommon Community Development, and Humble + Kind. He has 4 sons in the PLCS school district and is running to bring transparency to the board. He is endorsed by Senator Rick Holdcroft and others and he is the only candidate is endorsed by the Sarpy County Republican Party.
- Tyler McGlade is the Sales Director for Baxter Subaru Omaha, a father of 4 sons in the Bennington School District, and a youth football and basketball coach. He will advocate for fiscal responsibility, as a new high school will soon need to be built. He is endorsed by Senator Ben Hansen and others and is the only candidate endorsed by both the Douglas and Washington County Republican Parties.
