About Sen. John Kennedy
John Neely Kennedy was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016 and reelected in 2022. A conservative champion for Louisiana and watchdog of taxpayer dollars, he serves on the Appropriations, Banking, Budget, and Judiciary Committees. He previously served five terms as Louisiana State Treasurer, overseeing the state’s multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios. Kennedy graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University, earned his law degree from the University of Virginia, and holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first-class honors from Oxford University.
