U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is set to kick off his new national tour, titled “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here,” with an event in Omaha. This tour aims to address the influence of billionaires and large corporations on the national government and the perceived shift towards authoritarianism. Sanders, known for his strong performances in past Democratic presidential primaries, will use this platform to discuss critical issues affecting the working class in the Midwest. During the town hall at the union hall, he plans to delve into strategies for resisting what he describes as moves towards authoritarianism, oligarchy, and kleptocracy led by figures like President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
The event will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. While tickets aren’t necessary, attendees are encouraged to RSVP. Note that guns, signs, and bags are not permitted inside the venue.
