Osborn for Senate Kickoff

July 26, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Dan Osborn is having a campaign kickoff at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on Saturday, July 26 from 6:00-7:30PM (CST), featuring a performance from Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. Dan Osborn, a former union leader and industrial mechanic, ran a surprisingly competitive independent campaign for the U.S. Senate in Nebraska in 2024, losing to Republican Sen. Deb Fischer by about seven points while outperforming Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in the state. In 2026, he is challenging Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts, emphasizing a populist platform contrasting his working-class roots against Ricketts’ wealth and influence.

Conor Oberst, the front man of Bright Eyes, is a celebrated indie rock musician born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where his deep ties to the local music scene have shaped his career and the city’s cultural identity. Known for introspective and emotive songs like “First Day of My Life,” “Lua,” and “Lover I Don’t Have to Love,” he will perform at Dan Osborn’s Senate campaign kickoff.
